Tonanco heavy duty transmissions are of the countershaft design, so that the units can be operated continuously in either forward or reverse within their full rated capacities. This type of construction also results in a positive neutral position.

The hydraulic system is trouble free, including oil-cooled and actuated clutches. The "finger tip" control valves ensure immediate response. Antifriction Cylindrical Roller Bearings, Tapered Roller Bearings and accurate extra wide gears provide long life and quiet operation.
